The story

Sophie and Marcus took an entire seventeenth-century masseria for four days. The brief was simple: 'a slow Italian summer, with everyone we love, and no rush at any moment.'

Day one was aperitivo under the olive trees, with focaccia from the wood oven. Day two: a pool day with long lunch and live cumbia. The wedding itself was day three — a barefoot ceremony in the ancient olive grove, the bride entering through an arch of dried palm leaves.

Dinner was twelve metres of trulli-roof shadow, with the masseria's own wine and pasta made that morning. The night ended at four a.m. with espresso, grappa, and a cigar circle around the stone well. Day four was breakfast for anyone who could find it.
